Due to an injury to Kristin Chenoweth, the Broadway revival of The Apple Tree will delay its first preview by one day. The production was previously scheduled to begin performances on November 28, but will now begin on November 29 at the Roundabout Theatre Company's Studio 54 theater. The official opening date remains December 14, with the limited engagement scheduled to continue through March 11, 2007.
Chenoweth was injured during a technical rehearsal over the weekend when she fell off an elevated section of the stage. Despite the fall, she continued rehearsals and sought medical attention afterwards. According to a company press release, she is committed to performing in the show on November 29. Ticketholders for the first preview will be able to reschedule.
